Deepavali Charitable Trust supports various philanthropic and humanitarian activities, ranging from earthquake to flood victims. Through its grants, Deepavali Charitable Trust has been assisting and providing relief to poor sections of society and the underprivileged since its establishment.
Witnessing the impact our donations have made, we endeavour to help and support as many individuals and families as possible who suffer from exceptional circumstances and tragedies.
- We educate the regional community about safe hygiene and sanitation practices and build safe sanitation facilities for families.
- We respond to dozens of disasters each year, reaching tens of thousands of people through our emergency programmes (For example: Bihar Flood Relief, Uttarkand Earthquake Relief).
- Ongoing nutritional food supplied to the Blind School and Lepers Colony.
- Ongoing support and food programmes for the Widows of Braj
- Ongoing distribution of basic life needs of food supplies, blankets, clothes, winter wear, household goods and cash to the needy and underprivileged.
- Working with communities hit by natural disasters, Deepavali through its partners helps keep women and girls healthy and safe. We put a special focus on girls and women when distributing food and emergency supplies. We make sure girls go to school, raise awareness about violence against women, provide maternal health services and teach mothers skills they need to rebuild their family’s lives. As communities start to recover, we ensure that women and girls don’t lose out – and can fulfill their potential.
